Knitwear Designer

- Responsible for the design and product development of knitwear category for Witchery in accordance with design direction, option plan and brand handwriting

- Trend analysis and presentation

- Sketch and maintain all technical illustrations

- Yarn selection and co-ordination of initial yarn testing

- Effectively communicate knitwear technical design hand overs to QA

- Conduct all fit sessions and ensure high standards are maintained from design and production 

perspective within parameters of costings

- Pitch monthly ranges to Senior Management and Buying teams 

- Ensure critical path is met and deliveries are achieved

- Sample management and tracking for shoot, media and vm

- Retail range presentations and yarn information guides

- Coordinate and oversee design and off-shore production for N+S seasonal ranges, including knitwear,       apparel, scarves, leather apparel, shoes, handbags and jewellery

- Trend and colour direction development and presentation

- Establish collaborations with artists and creatives to enhance N+S branding

- Design, develop and manage production of x4 seasonal ranges in line with option plan, margins and sales analysis/feedback

- Work with textile designer to develop print and scarf ranges

- Creation of Critical Path and Shipping schedule to ensure all deadlines are achieved

- Design and Measurement specification creation and hand over with factories

- Fitting and development of all prototypes to SMS

- Grading specifications

- Management of all production aspects, including shipping schedules 

- Weekly, Monthly and Seasonal sales reports and sell through analysis

- Manage and mentor the development of Junior Designers and Production Assistant

- Bi-annual sourcing trips and China factory visits

- Liaise with Graphic Designer on marketing concepts 

- Sample management and styling of all product for campaign and ecomm photoshoots

management
